Dear Family and Friends
I'm writing to you today with a truly difficult but important request. As you may know, I've suffered with kidney disease for several years. A disease which has led me to have to receive dialysis on a weekly schedule. My doctors have recommended a kidney transplant as the best course of action for me to live a long and healthy life and to regain quality of life. Steps which I have begun to pursue.
A living donor transplant offers a significantly higher chance of long-term success compared to waiting for a deceased donor kidney, which can take years.
While I understand this may be a lot to process and a big ask, I am reaching out to see if anyone among you would be willing to consider donating a kidney.
I want to assure you that potential donors go through a thorough medical evaluation to ensure their health and safety.
